Notice to Customers of Prestonsburg City’s Utilities Commission
April 9, 2025
Effective immediately, and with the approval of the Kentucky Division of Water, Prestonsburg City’s Utilities Commission is lifting the boil water advisory that was voluntarily issued on April 4, 2025, due to a water line break. This advisory included all customers in the Left Fork of Abbott Creek area. This advisory also included any side roads and hollows in that area.
The boil water advisory was issued as a precautionary measure. The water lines have been flushed and water samples taken in the area have been analyzed by a certified lab. The lab results indicate that the water supply was not compromised and is safe for customers to use.
