The EPA proposed a Lead Replacement Program that requires utilities to identify and begin to replace any lead service lines and identify all copper services, this includes copper in the customer’s service. As customers of Prestonsburg City’s Utilities Commission, you may have been contacted by one of our employees or seen some of them searching in water meter boxes to determine if services line to and from the meter contain any lead or copper lines over the past months.

Below is a link to our Lead Service Line Inventory that contains updated information to help keep our customers informed of our progress of the inventory.

If you have any questions about this map or questions about Lead and Copper in general, please call the main office at 606-886-6871.
